Working Principle
1. Cups are placed on the loading rack. When the sensor on the loading conveyor does not detect any cups,
the air cylinder of the loading rack will rise to transfer the cups onto the conveyor.
2. The cups reach the loading robot via the loading conveyor.
3. When the sensor of the loading robot detects the cups, the robot will pick up the cups and place them
onto the fixtures of the 8-station rotary table.
4. The cups rotate with the rotary table to the corona treatment station (pre-printing treatment, which
enhances ink adhesion).
5. After corona treatment, the cups rotate with the rotary table to the No. 1 product detection station. If the
sensor detects no cup on the fixture, the machine will stop and trigger an alarm. Its function is to stop the
printing station from printing when there is no cup on the fixture, preventing ink from being printed onto the mold.
6. After normal detection (with a cup on the fixture), the rotary table rotates to the printing station. An
electromagnet is installed behind the cup mold at this station. When it rotates to the corresponding central axis
position, the electromagnet engages. Behind the electromagnet, there is a rotary servo motor. The left and right
movement of the screen is also driven by a servo motor controlling the lead screw for linear reciprocating motion.
When the screen and the cup start rotating, the squeegee of the screen printing machine moves downward and begins
squeezing UV ink onto the cup.
7. After printing, the cups reach the inspection station (this station is used for checking printed patterns for
defects during machine setup).
8. Then, the rotary table rotates to the UV drying station (post-printing treatment, curing the ink). The curing time
can be set on the touch screen.
9. After curing, the rotary table rotates to the unloading robot. The unloading robot will pick up the cups from the
8-station rotary table and place them onto the unloading conveyor. The unloading robot uses suction cups to remove the
cups here. When designing the cup mold, it should not be made too large; otherwise, if it is too tight and the suction
force is insufficient, it will be difficult to remove the cups.
10. The cups travel to the unloading rack via the conveyor. When the cups on the unloading rack stack to a certain
quantity, they are detected by a sensor. Then, the stacking robot will separate the cups, saving time by eliminating the
need to stack them manually. (Automatic counting system: When the cups are stacked, there is an automatic counting cup rack.
When the cups reach the same quantity length and the sensor position, the sensor sends a command to the PLC, which controls
the air cylinder to separate the cups according to the set length = quantity and push them aside for packaging.)
11. Additionally, there is a No. 2 product detection station on the 8-station rotary table. If the unloading robot fails to
pick up a cup and the cup is not unloaded properly, it will rotate to the No. 2 product detection station. When detected by
the sensor, the machine will stop and trigger an alarm.
