Technical Process & Working Principle:
Step 1: Mesh Cutting
Cut the screen mesh into a square that extends beyond all four clamping positions of the screen stretching
machine, ensuring sufficient material for the double-head clamps to grip securely.
Step 2: Frame Placement & Initial Fixing
Place a flat wooden board or rigid panel on the central lifting bar of the screen stretcher machine as a platform,
then position the screen frame evenly on this platform.
Step 3: Even Clamping & Mesh Stretching
Use all double-head clamps to evenly grip the mesh on all four sides, first clamping the top and bottom
opposite sides, then the left and right opposite sides. Place a tension meter on the mesh and gradually
stretch using the manual screen stretching machine, monitoring tension values constantly to prevent
over-stretching and mesh damage until standard tension values are achieved at all measuring points.
Step 4: Lift Bar Activation
Activate the pneumatic lifting bar of the screen print stretcher to steadily raise the screen frame into
contact with the tensioned mesh.
Step 5: Tension Adjustment (Most Critical Step)
Place the tension meter at the four corners and center of the mesh within the frame area, recording
readings from all five points. These readings should be very close, ideally with differences not
exceeding 1 N/cm. Uneven tension causes inconsistent ink passage during printing, resulting in
uneven color density and potential ghosting.
Step 6: Glue Application
Evenly apply screen adhesive to the frame area contacting the mesh using a small brush. Avoid
applying beyond 3cm inside the frame and prevent adhesive droplets from blocking mesh
openings in the printing area.
Step 7: Adhesive Curing & Final Steps
Allow natural air drying for 10-15 minutes or use a hair dryer/heating gun for accelerated drying.
Once completely dry and firmly bonded, release all tension from the mechanical screen stretching machine,
open all clamps, trim excess mesh along the frame’s outer edge, and remove the completed screen from the machine.
