Flatbed Screen Printing Machine
What is silk screen printing? Silk screen printing is a printing technique where UV ink (or solvent ink) is transferred onto products through a mesh, except in areas blocked by a logo stencil that prevents the ink from passing through.
A squeegee or blade moves across the screen to fill the open mesh areas with ink, and then a reverse
stroke makes the screen briefly touch the prroducts along a line of contact. This transfers the ink onto
the products and pulls it out of the mesh as the screen springs back once the squeegee has passed.
Since only one color is printed at one time, if you make multiple screens can be used to create a
multi-colored image or design.
What is mesh material?
Originally, silk was used for the mesh, but today synthetic threads, such as polyester, are more commonly
used. Special mesh materials like nylon and stainless steel are also available for specific purposes. The size
of the mesh openings plays a crucial role in determining the final appearance of the printed design.
